Odan-Urr, historyk Jedi z planety Ossus został wysłany przez swojego mistrza Ooroo do systemu Koros, by pomógł w zakończeniu wojen unifikacyjnych prowadzonych przez Cesarzową Tetę. Odan-Urr i Memit Nadill zostali wysłani na planetę Kirrek, gdzie swą siedzibę założyli rebelianci. Odan-Urr, użył swej umiejętności bitewnej medytacji, dzięki czemu pokonano przeciwników i uniknięto niepotrzebnych ofiar.
W międzyczasie Hok i Timar Daragon, rodzice Gava i Jori wybrali się w misję kurierską na planetę Kirrek, by zdobyć fundusze na opłacenie naprawy ich statku. Niestety zostali oni zestrzelenie nad planetą. Widząc złą sytuację dwójki sierot Hutt Aarrba dał im statek Starbreaker 12...
